N80SB-1 air leak

N80SB-1 air leak was created by Wallers
Hello... My framing nailer is leaking air where the nail is driven, not the trigger. I bought an o-ring kit for the gun but it didn’t fix the issue. Another issue is when the air is attached the trigger is not working. I push the gun down to allow the trigger to function and it’s like trigger will not engage. All the research I have done I haven’t seen anything similar. Am I missing parts? Maybe I have the wrong parts diagram. I haven’t ordered a new trigger. I pulled it out and the seals look good and with the weird leak i was unsure what to do next.

So I guess I have 2 problems and I would imagine they are connected.

Any help would appreciated.

I would install a trigger valve for the nailer, they are very easy to install.

Did you ever fix the problem on your nailer? I've got a similar situation and put a trigger valve with new seals and now my gun will not fire ,it's almost like there's something not making contact. If you manually depress the trigger stem it will fire just fine. If I manually depress the trigger stem it will fire just fine. But the trigger itself will not make contact.

The issue is that the metal pieces are not assembled properly.
See attached breakdown.
