husky compressor was created by michael
I have a husky compressor model#a700062, I recently replaced the belt which worked for awhile,
now the belt does not grip anymore, it just spins and burns. It was the correct belt with the ribs,
and very difficult to put on, very tight. Now it seems too loose.

Thanks for the post Michael,
It's odd that the belt would be too loose, as it a really tight fit.
Can you upload a video of the compressor pump running so I can see it? This would help.
Seems obvious but I should ask, is the crankshaft actually turning? It's possible (not likely though) that the motor armature is turning but not turning the crankshaft.

Sorry I don't know how to upload a video to you. The crankshaft is turning, the belt is just slipping.

That's okay, we'll get to the bottom of this.
To confirm, is the armature pulley slipping or is the flywheel gear slipping?
Is there an obstruction that is preventing the piston from travelling it's normal cycle if turned by hand? (with the unit unplugged)?
