My sears electric pressure washer won't run. After letting go of the trigger and the pressure switch shut it off, it won't turn on after pulling the trigger again. It's just dead. Anyone know where to look first? I did take the nozzle off to make sure the pressure was relieved.

				Boris,
I'd start with the power cord, GFCI and switch...check that there is continuity with unit unplugged between the power cord, switch and motor. If there is power to the motor but it still will not turn then check to make sure the pump is not locked up preventing the motor from turning. If the pump is free then there is a motor problem, i.e. brushes or a short. If the problem is more than minor (such as switch) then the unit is probably not worth repairing. It looks like the motor/pump assembly is not available and the power cord with GFCI is over $100.00 Small electric power washers are typically under $200.00

I finally got to pull it apart and found a stuck piston for the pressure switch. Thanks everyone for your help.
