I took the top plate off of the pump due to non-pump symptom, found a flapper reed valve had come loose. Looked up the model & breakdown on this site, saw a flapper valve and a limiter. My unit appears to only have one of these flapper reeds for each cylinder, as there is one intact to look at, not a flapper and limiter as shown.....what do you think of this? (this unit is really old (serial 112884L-253581)

Thanks for the post Jeff.

Well, this is an older "VT" series pump made by Campbell, and it should have a total of 6 Valves. On top of the Head, you have the Valve Cover Plate, of course, which covers 2 of these Valves. If you take the entire cast iron Head off, however, there should be 4 more Valves screwed to the bottom of the head.
