Homelite UT80993 pump replacement was created by mcr122
I am replacing the pump on a homelite UT80993 pressure washer. I purchased the pump and directions says to torque the 3 bolts that hold the pump onto the engine to manufacturer specs. Does anyone know what they are. Homelite will not answer my question on their support site.

Out of warranty, already denied a claim, fixing it myself

Thanks

Unfortunately Homelite doesn't give out this information, even to myself. All they can recommend is to contact your local Homelite Authorized Service Center.

You can find a location by typing in your information here:

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help...

If the torque specs for the particular model and fastener are not available then the bolt size, thread and grade can be used to find the approximate torque. There are tables available to do this on the web, just do a search for the fastener that you are going to use and it will usually bring up a list of sites with tables for all types of bolts with torque specs for each size, thread and grade. Boltdepot.com or engineershandbook.com are two sites that will provide tables with torque specs.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I have been seeing charts like that and I will definitely use them. Approximate torque and symmetry is what I will shoot for. Better than paying out of pocket at the "authorized" service center , which would probably be close to the price if a new unit.

Thanks for the response .
