Troybilt 3000psi, 2.8g max, model 020242 REV4 was created by Syncman
Not used a while, and now its not sucking soap/clorox. Removed the black tip, still no action. Took out the nipple, and see a ball and washer. The parts lists on various websites show a spring too. However an Amazon search shows kits both with and without the spring. Any ideas?

that has a spring. If mine had one, where did it get to? It has always worked, and never been opened till now. So I am still puzzled. Is it possible to have corroded away?

Very possibly as these units get all kinds of corrosion due to minerals in the water or maybe it is lodged inside of the inlet.
