Craftsman 10 inch miter saw was created by jake2leea
Has anyone had any experience in replacing the arbor gear on a craftsman saw with a discontinued part listing? The saw is a 113.235200, the part is a 823251. Discontinued from sears. The gear on the arbor has a broken tooth, so all I really need is the gear. I'm not aware of any companies that can machine a new gear, but i'm sure it's been done before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't a whole lot you'd be able to do at this point I'd imagine, unfortunately.
I would check eBay, but even then it's a crapshoot.
A machine shop would probably charge as much for a new arbor gear as a new saw, honestly. I'll do some further research and if I get any positive hits at all, I'll reply and let you know.
Good luck and thanks for posting!
