Ridgid table saw R4510 was created by bigdoghunts
my table saw runs for 3-5 seconds then shuts down what could be the problem

It could be that the overload switch on the motor is tripping, this makes me thing either there's an electrical problem involving the motor and you're getting some resistance somewhere that's overheating the motor or reset switch.
1. Make sure you're not using an extension cord, this is a very common issue.
2. Also, make sure to blow out the motor with compressed air. Sawdust build up is a big reason for motors overheating.
Take a look at the attached trouble shooting info, below. It may be that you just need to replace the circuit fuse or reset. Anything more complicated may need to be repaired by an authorized service center.
