Bosch GMF 1440 CE router - won't start/run properly was created by Dougleus
I have a 1400 CE router made by bosch.

It has a variable speed control.

It won't run at any sensible speed and makes a lot of noise.

When i change the speed control dial nothing happens.

I wonder if the speed controller is broken or if anyone has any ideas/experience with these devices?

This sounds like the speed controller is in fact bad.
