Have a air compressor not working. It started cutting out and finally died. Before I take it apart, I hope for a little guidance here. Verified power through switch, power through I am assuming a pressure control. The black wire going to behind motor is energized, unit won’t come on. Is there a reset or some control I am missing? Motor has start and run capacitor. Thanks in advance. R. B.

What is the model number of your unit?
Does it kick the breaker or just stop while it is running?

Also, you need to test if there is power coming from the pressure switch going to the motor.
