Kellogg 321 Piston Ring Kit Install was created by kurtjohnson
Hi,
I have my new rings from you. My old rings had no chamfers at all.
There are inside chamfers, and the letters DY stamped on the new ones.
What is the correct orientation of these chamfers on both pistons for each groove?

Thanks for the post Kurt,
I'm not 100% positive so I'll contact my supplier and get the answer for you ASAP, assuming you still need the answer.

Kurt,
The surface where the letters "DY" appear face up when you install them on the piston. I've attached a very crude drawing, hopefully this helps.
I've also attached a photo of our Ring Kit. You would essentially install them as you see them in the photo, with the "DY" facing up. If I'm not mistaken, this means the inner chamfers would face inwards on the piston.
I hope this helps!
