Air compressor not running

Air compressor not running was created by dvweide
I have a Kobalt air compressor model 215914. It will not run but when I bypass regulator I can get the motor to run. Is the problem in my board and will a repair kit fix it as a board is not available?

Most likely you will need to replace the control board assembly as this seems to be a common problem with this digital control assembly.
To be sure, however, I would recommend contacting Coleman Powermate directly at 888-895-4549 (they made this for Kobalt).
One of their tech reps can confirm this for you, it's certainly a safer bet as these units are difficult to diagnose without having the unit physically here to do so.
