Installing an unloader valve on an old Worthington compressor? was created by Cruciform
I have an older worthington dual stage compressor, and I recently replaced the 3 phase motor with one of matching g specs. However, the issue now is that it runs fine, until it gets to the specified pressure, and drops down to turn on pressure- there doesn't seem to be any sort of unloader hooked up to this and its fighting compression to start. I need toninstall an unloader, but the pipes coming from the compressor to the tank are 2" steel pipe (look to be hand done) the compressor heads appear to have pressure unloaders, but they've never been hooked up. What are my options here?

Can you send some pictures of your unit so that I can suggest some solutions?
