running an air compress thats been in storage for 25 yrs was created by Blank
I have an Sanborn 1 hp 22gal. model 84a100-22 air compressor. It's 40 years old and has been sitting out in the shed for the past 25 years. Is there any advice, recommendation, precaution, and inspection I should do before plugging it in. I changed the oil, check the drive belt and cleaned the air filter. it was in good work order when put in storage. Can I squirt some oil into the intake, disconnect the line to the tank and rotate the pulley by hand to lube the pump pistons?

Yes, that is a good idea. Unplug it first!
Also, drain any moisture out of the tank, clean the air filter, make sure the belt is not cracked. The tank check valve may need to be changed, but you won't know that until it fills up and cuts off. If the pressure switch leaks after it cuts off, then it is the tank check valve, not the pressure switch unloader valve.
