hello I am new here and I just purchased this old Devilbiss air compressor, it has a newer 1hp 215/230 Baldor motor currently wired 115. The seller told me it needed a pressure switch however the research I have done I've read that these didn't always have one. It has a Square D power connect box wired to a light switch for on & off. The motor runs well and the pump builds pressure, their is a copper line connected to the center manifold on one end but there is no connection on the SQ,D switch.
Ok my questions are (and I have a few lol) would it be best to put a pressure switch on it, if so what pressure on- off ratings should I use, the compressor tag says max oper. pressure is 80lbs. I'm sure I'll think of more.
the model # of the compressor is jubl - 5034 serial # 7299, the pump # is M # 44633 ser.# 5174.
