I have the bostich cap60p-of 6 gal pancake model. It will not build pressure past 60#. I looked at the head plate assembly and didn’t see any damage. I also looked at the piston ring and it didn’t have cracks or dry rot!
Any ideas!

I can almost guarantee you'll need to replace the reed valves. This is almost always the case when the unit won't build past 60 PSI; we sell a lot of valve plate assemblies.

They've changed the design of this Valve System to a two-piece valve plate with valves sandwiched in between. It's a whole new kit that includes a new Head, Valve Plate w/ Valves, Gaskets, Piston Top and Air Filter (part# is DE-2752222 at $24.95 + shipping).

If your piston ring isn't damaged, I'd replace the above.
