It's an EMGLO MODEL R

The motor tripped a 20 amp breaker at 100 PSI.

A new 2 HP motor over heated and tripped it's internal breaker at 40 PSI.

WHAT SIZE MOTOR DO I NEED?

I can wire it 110 or 220.

Thanks for the post Scattercash,

This is actually a Kellogg pump which Emglo used (they called it an "R" pump), it's a model 332 which you can find our site at the below link:

mastertoolrepair.com/air-compressor-pump...s-332tvx-p-5412.html

It uses a minimum 3 HP motor, I know that much. You can view more specs for this pump in the "specs" tab at the above web page.

It's a pretty beefy, cast iron pump so it requires a beefy motor to run it efficiently.
