tore apart my old IR t30 (2340l5, 7.5hp) because it was blowing oil out of "crossover" tube and was coining into tank. hp side had dry piston above the ring. low pressure side was wet above the rings, so I think oil was getting past the piston rings. inspecting the piston and head couple of things. 1. should it be aluminumpiston in low side? 2. do these marks look normal. 3. should the head be honed?
