Where to lube a campbell-hausfield 12V air compressor

Hoping I can get some pointers fixing an air compressor so my rear tire doesn't strand me. Found this site:
www.instructables.com/id/How-to-fix-your-12v-air-compressor/ and it sounds like he's telling me to take the cam out,
remove the "main bearing" and lube the bushings on each end, as well as everything else: the "crankcase", the cylinder for the piston, the lower end rod bearing, the piston and piston crown, the gears, and the bushings in the motor.

The bushings in the motor? Well, anyway if I can't find someone who has some Breakfree CLP can I use oil in an old oil can (like one w/the spout)? Don't know what type oil that is. I also have a grease gun around somewhere for lubing suspension parts but I think that's too thick.

Everything seems to be in good working order except I can't get enough compression or air to inflate, even a football. Hose is good. If I lube all and put things back together I hope I can salvage this baby air compressor.

Thanks in advance for any interest & feedback.
