I have a craftsman single stage air compressor, model 919.195412, that the bearing seal popped out of. I bought a new seal but can't get it back in. Is there a trick to it? Is it factory compressed in? Special tools needed? It's number 83 in the attached photo

Thanks for the post,
It should simply press right in. I would take a rubber mallet to (carefully) beat it into place. As long as the bearing itself is pressed all the way onto the crankshaft, the seal should fit in flush with the crankcase like it should.
