how does the pulley come off the y series pumps ? only has roll pin as a key , no set screws etc

The easiest way to remove the flywheel is to first apply heat to the hub...you really need to heat it up to help it along as they can be quite difficult to remove without it.

Then, get yourself some 3-arm bearing pullers and grab the hub behind the flywheel. Make sure not to grab the fins on the flywheel! They will break off (trust me).
I use the bearing pullers in the attached photo, below.

Then get yourself an impact and get a deep well socket large enough to fit around the hex portion of the bearing pullers.
Then it's just a matter of using the impact to slowly remove the flywheel. Eventually it will come off.

This is the easiest, most effective way to remove it without damaging the shaft or the flywheel itself.
