Old craftsman 2 hp air compressor was created by TLH
I have Craftsman 2 hp Modle 919.176120 it is missing the motor and of the drive pulley. Pulley # is C-PU-2872 What I really neen is does any one know what the required RPM is for that modle compressor or the motor drive pulley and motor RPM

Well, the Flywheel is 10" in diameter and the OEM motor Pulley has an O.D. of 1.95".
The original motor has an RPM of 3,450 so that would put the Pump RPM at roughly 672 to 690.
You could certainly increase the pulley diameter a bit to say, a maximum of 2.75" to get a faster RPM at the pump (about 950 with a 2.75" motor pulley).
But, the faster the pump RPM, the more wear you'll see and longevity suffers.
