I have the 7.5hp husky pro that is pumping up fine but when it reaches kick off pressure the comp will kick off but then the air will bleed off through the unloader valve. I have replaced the unloader valve but still have the problem. Sometimes the valve will close at about 125psi but other times it will bleed all the pressure off. Don't want to to keep throwing parts at it. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the post!

What you have is a bad Check Valve.

If you hear air leaking out of the 1/4" pressure release valve that is located on the side (or bottom) of your pressure control switch, and/or it seems that your compressor is struggling to start and run, then your check valve is probably defective. This is the valve that's typically threaded into your main tank inlet that keeps the pressure in the tanks. It's probably back-feeding into the line and out through this valve, also putting pressure on the pump head, making it difficult to start and stay running.

You can try this test first to be sure, there's a video and a text doc on our site which will show you how to perform this simple test.
