Husky 585-819 Air Compressor keeps blowing reset was created by mlb61952
I have a Husky 585-819 1.5 HP 150 lb Air compressor that keeps blowing the reset button. It will get to about 60-75 lbs. pressure then kick out. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Thanks for the post!
A few different things can cause this to happen:
1. Running it on an extension cord
2. Air filter in pump clogged
3. Run capacitor bad
4. Clogged check valve
You can remove the Check Valve from the tank inlet and clean it, it may have debris inside that's causing an obstruction. The Check Valve is in the tank inlet, and the Discharge Tube from the pump head is attached to it.
You can also check your capacitor with a voltmeter, click on the link below to find out how to test your motor capacitor:
