Well the compressor is doing the same thing not two weeks later. Slowing down as it builds up pressure. A friend had an ohm meter that went up to Rx 10,000. Both capacitors check out as good this time. Any idea where I can find a check valve for that particular air compressor?

If you can give me the model# of the compressor I'm sure I can.
Thanks!

There were two different styles of your model made, does your compressor configuration look like the one in the attached photo?
If so then it would be a part# "CTD1212" which sells for about $21.17. This is a 1/2" Compression Inlet by 1/2" MPT outlet and has a small 1/8" FPT port on the side in which the small Bleeder Line is attached to.

No. There is only one outlet to the tank. The check valve and the air pressure switch are on a single stem. The height of the check valved without the ball is 1 5/16 inches. Wonder is it wouldn't be easier to weld on a second outlet to the tank routing the air line off the compressor to it with the check valve attached to the added outlet. I have found check valves at local supply stores that are threaded at both ends.

I see, what you have is the model attached below, it's the newer style and it has a tree-like Manifold in which all of your control components are threaded into.
The Check Valve is a brass adapter that threads into the back of it with a ball and spring inside, and of course the main Transfer Tube threads into the inlet going to the pump head.
The part# is 139-0009 or 139-0010, depending on the O.D. of the transfer tube that threads onto it, it'll be either 3/8" or 1/2".
You can find these part numbers on our site if you search them.
Thanks,
