no air, help needed was created by myorks
I have a Emglo compressor. Model #K15A17P, 125 PSI. Everything runs as it should but it will only get to 20 PSI and that is it. Where should I start. Appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

Thanks for the post!

I've attached a helpful document on trouble-shooting these Emglo units; this info will certainly help.

First, spray soapy water on all fittings (pump, discharge tube, tank) to confirm you have no major air leaks. This is the simplest test.

If you don't have any air leaks, most likely you have bad disc Valves in the Pump Head. In this unit you have two Intake Valves and two Exhaust Valves. Most likely you have carbon build-up or debris in there, or rust. You should be able to push down on the discs and they should spring back up. Most of the time we find the Spring has lost tension or is broken, which won't allow the Valves to move up and down like they should, hence no compression.
Most likely a valve job will cure this problem.

I hope this helps!
