I have a Sanborn 60 gallon upright compressorwit a 5 hp motor that just quit working .I have power to the motor but nothing happens.I have had the motor checked out and there is no problem with it. I have replaced the check valve in the tank and replaced the pressure switch . I have power showing thru the switch all the way to the motor but when I flip the breaker on nothing happens ,no clicks hums or nothing. Could the breaker be bad and is just allowing enough power to show but not enough to do anything . I am not sure what to check for next.

Thanks for the post!

I'd first get a voltmeter, confirm if you're getting the correct amount of voltage to the switch (either 120V or 230V, whatever you have).

Then, use the voltmeter to make sure you're getting power to both sides of the Switch (all contacts).

The motor Capacitor is probably okay, it would hum when you turn it on if defective.

This is really the first place to start.
