Emglo KU

Emglo KU was created by Larry Rarus
I recently picked up a gas-powered Emglo compressor. I'm trying to find an air filter assembly for it. A picture is attached. Notice that it doesn't have any place for an air filter to screw into. I separated the head from the valve plate and there appears to be a groove cast into each half which might hold some type of flat screen filter (that goes across the entire opening) in position. Any thoughts as to what the filter used to be and what I can use?

The model is simply KU (no numbers following it).
The serial number is 2107528.

Thanks for the inquiry Larry.

That's a familiar site, the KU pump was the most popular pump made by Emglo and you have the older-style Felt Filter type used on the older pumps. Nowadays a typical screw in Filter is used.

It looks like this unit was made in '75 if your serial# is correct.

We still have this Felt Filter available and the part# is 104-1018. Feel free to give us a call at 855-867-2989 and we'd be glad to help you out with this.

Hope this helps!
