Coating wear oil-free screw compressor was created by Nemoralis
Good afternoon,
Please, find attached a photo and an explanation of the subject, I appreciate if you could share your opinion about it.
It is a 2-stage (low pressure and high pressure) screw compressor, oil-free, with 39,000 hours of operation and the manufacturer inspected it because we have problems with alarm and even some trips due to high temperature of the low pressure stage. The manufacturer told us that the reason for the high temperature is due to the wear of the screw coating, which increases the gap between them and that the only one solution is to change the screws.
The state of the coating is shown in the photos. Changing the screws is very expensive and it is supposed to be done with 50,000 hours and not with 39,000.
What is your opinion? Should we change the screws or do you think the reason is different, looking at the state of the screws?
Thank you very much in advance.

I will see if others can give you a recommendation on this as we primarily deal with reciprocating units.
