Craftsman 106.152581 compressor pressure switch. was created by mahd776
Have a Craftsman Model 106.152581 that I purchased new in the mid to late 70's. For sometime when I want to use it I have to shut on and off with switch on pressure switch. Will pump up fine but not shut off once it reaches 100 psi. If I do not shut off it will pump until safety valve activates and releases air pressure. Many years ago I had to replace the pressure switch when it done this. Part at that time was available from Sears. Part # CW-2075-23 is now obsolete and not available. Also called CH who made unit for Sears and they had nothing. Looks like my options at this point is to purchase a switch that meets the 80 on 100 psi off parameters and try to adapt to my unit. Is this a reasonable route to go?

Looking at the kit you are recommending it looks like it is a 95-125 psi pressure switch. As stated above my unit is a 80 - 100psi unit. What do I need to do to use the kit you are recommending?

You would need to replace the safety valve with one rated at 140.
Here is the link for the new safety valve:
