Aftercooler Valve Problem

Aftercooler Valve Problem was created by Maxamillian
Hey folks, i've got a Rolair two stage compressor with a K30 Pump. There is a brass valve on the bottom of the aftercooler that opens everytime the compressor shuts off and slowly i lose the air until compressor kicks back on again. This valve has given me fits over the years and has been replaced several times. I'm wondering if this is just a result of another problem. What is this valve for? I pulled it off and cleaned it , it wasn't very dirty. The spring seems strong and is adjusted to its tightest setting. Please help

This sounds like a check valve issue. What is the complete model number of your unit?

Are you referring to a safety valve that is on the aftercooler?
Can you take a picture of it and attach it to this post?
Click on 'Go to editor' and there is a place to attach the picture.
