Craftsman 20 gallon compressor pressure switch

Craftsman 20 gallon compressor pressure switch was created by jbuck
I have a 20 gallon Craftsman Air Compressor model 921.166430, the pressure switch was leaking from the release valve below the switch. I ordered and replaced the switch. The switch is still leaking from the same place. Do I need to replace the copper relief tube as well or did I receive a defective replacement?

This is the classic example of a defective tank check valve.
Item 41 on this page below, plus you will need the outlet tube as well.
