SANBORN model 104A200-22 was created by Dean
Hello all,
I have a San-born model 104A200-22 compressor.It was apart when I got it.I am not certain
which way the value body mounts on the compressor. What I am asking : do the larger of the reed value intake holes go toward the air in take or is it the smaller ones? I could not tell by looking at the parts list pictures for pump parts.
Thanks for any information.

Thanks for the post Dean.
Can you upload a photo or two of your valve plate style? This will greatly help me as Sanborn used three different valve plate designs on this model throughout the years.
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply,
As you can see the value plate has two areas that I would think when toward the pistons.
This side has the smaller of the holes at the reed values. At one time I cut out two gaskets and stamped what I thought was the inlet side in the value body. The compressor did work ,but my gaskets failed.
maybe they failed because I had the value body on wrong.
I will be ordering two new gaskets from you and don't want to damage them by improper installment
of the value body.
see attached pictures ,again thank you for your help.

Thanks Dean, I'll grab my old schematic and see if I can get some instructions for you to be sure. I believe the larger slots face up on the Intake side, but I don't want to say until I'm certain.

That's great to hear, thank you Dean!
As for the installation of the Valves Plate...
Note that on the second picture, there are words AIR IN etched into the valve plate, this side is up, so this side of the valve plate will be on the Intake side facing up. Also note on the first pic the outlining of the cylinders, that side is down.
Good luck!
