Husky TF251201AJ - Won't restart was created by rlb8988@yahoo.com
My air compressor will not restart after falling below the restart pressure. Replaced pressure switch. It is somewhat sporadic. When it reaches pressure and the unloader valve releases pressure, then it will restart. But it will do that only sometimes. More often it reaches stop pressure, the compressor shuts off (doesn't unload), and then will not restart when pressure falls. It can then be manually restarted by pressing the reset switch on the magnetic starter. The new pressure switch came with a new unloader valve.

This sounds like a tank check valve issue.
Are you sure of the model number? I can't find anything under that model number.

What you are describing is not a check valve. That is a schrader/unloader valve on the pressure switch. It only releases a small amount of pressure that is left over in the transfer tube after the unit pumps up. If you follow the small tube from the pressure switch to the tank, that is where the check valve is located. It is mostly in the tank and the tank must be drained completely prior to removal.

I believe that I know who made your unit.
I will reply when I am certain.

OK, that makes more sense. Is that a universal part that I should be able to source locally?
