I just replaced the trigger valve, PB205BA1, because the gun wouldn't fire and leaked air through the trigger - same result with the new valve.

Thanks for the post!

Does it leak out of the Trigger all of the time, or only when actuated?

Just when actuated.

It sounds like the head valve is getting stuck.
It would be #11 on this page:

See if the o-ring for the head valve is leaking or the head valve is getting jammed in the cap of the nailer.

Since the trigger valve has been changed, it is definitely in the head valve / cap “area”. The trigger valve can cause this, but is very rare. It is an internal leak in the head that only exits when the trigger valve is opened which creates a leak path.

Most likely the outer o-ring (#12 on the diagram) on the head valve piston, but possibly the head valve or even the cap, but I doubt it.
Note: only the outer ring can cause this. The other rings on the head valve would cause an exhaust leak.

If the o-ring has not been changed, this should be number one choice! Even if not worn, they can shrink over time if the unit is not used.

Hope this helps!
